Boë Gin Have Released a New Apple and Lime Flavour and It Sounds Perfect for Summer | The Sip Guide | Crafted Sip Culture

The new Apple and Lime full strength gin is made in small batches using the award winning Boë Scottish Dry Gin. It has notes of zesty lime nicely balanced with sweet crisp green apple making it a very refreshing serve with hints of spice coming from the Boë Scottish Gin. It is said to have a beautiful aroma with a “tangy” flavour profile matching its bright green hue. The packaging is very eye catching with colourful botanical illustrations and features Boë’s trademark bottle shape.

Carlo Valente, Director at Boë Gin said: “We know that the modern drinker loves to be adventurous with flavours – and this new gin presents the perfect opportunity to get creative.

“We dissected the botanicals that were in our gin to see how we could bind the fruit and spice notes with an unusual flavour note in gin – green apples.”

“After some experimentation, we found that lime citrus was the perfect component to balance the flavours together and top off that stunning green colour. We’ve heard so many times from our consumers that they prefer gin with something other than tonic and this inspired us to create a modern flavour that would complement a range of mixers.”

Serving Suggestions

Boë say that their Apple and Lime Gin can be enjoyed either with lemonade, tonic, in a cocktail or with the mixer and accompaniment of your choice.
It works great as a base to create delicious cocktails including a Green Vesper, a Scottish Breakfast cocktail, a Garden Collins and a twist on the Martini, the Apple-Tini.

Boë Apple-Tini

50ml Boë Apple & Lime Gin 40ml Apple Juice 15ml Lemon Juice 5 – 10ml Sugar Syrup 1 Mixing Tin 1 Coupe or Martini Glass

Apple Wheel (fresh or hydrated) to Garnish

Add all ingredients to a mixing tin and shake well for 10 to 15 seconds. Strain into a glass, add an apple wheel to garnish and enjoy!
