Interior Ministry's reform to affect other agencies

The Russian Interior Ministry's reform will inevitably have an impact on other law enforcement institutions, Speaker of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov stated during today's board meeting of the investigations committee of the Attorney General's Office.

Mironov considers countering economic violations and corruption the committee's top strategic areas of activity. "After taking a government position, many authorities start thinking that they are there just to reap the benefits of the position," he stated.
