Meeting on 'Increasing the effectiveness of cooperation between the Federation Council and CIS member countries'

February, 16. Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov has hosted a meeting dedicated to ‘Increasing the effectiveness of cooperation between the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation and CIS member countries’.

Chairman of the Federation Council, Chairman of IPA CIS Sergei Mironov noted the necessity to further integrate and modernize the cooperation schemes within CIS territory. “Commonwealth of Independent States has fully proved to be stable and persistently developing union in post-soviet territory. But life goes ahead, and the intensity of changes grows every day. And CIS should change too. We have to find ways to get to new levels of cooperation and integration”, - Sergei Mironov said.
