Sergei Mironov has opened the exhibition “Russian Ballet” and met his compatriots

June, 16. Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov has met Russians residing in Uruguay in Montevideo in the framework of his official visit to Uruguay.

The delegation of the Federation Council led by its Chairman Sergei Mironov has participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Russian Ballet”, the paintings by a famous Uruguay painter Eduardo Vernazza.

The exhibition takes place at the headquarters of Latin American Integration Association (LADI) and it is dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of LADI.

During the meeting with Russians residing in Uruguay Sergei Mironov said: “ Our efforts are aimed at uniting the representatives of Russian expat community, defending their rights and interests, support of Russian language and culture. There’s a huge potential in cooperation between Russia and Uruguay. And that fact opens up very good prospects for improving the lives of our compatriots”.
