Le président du Conseil fédéral de Russie reçu plus de 3 heures par le Chef de l’Etat

Le Président de la République, M. Abdelaziz Bouteflika a reçu, hier, au siège de la Présidence, le président du Conseil fédéral de la Fédération de  Russie, M. Serguei Mironov, qui effectue une visite officielle en Algérie à l’invitation du président du Conseil de la nation, M. Abdelkader  Bensalah. 



Rencontre avec MM. Bensalah et Ouyahia

Le président du Conseil de la nation, M. Abdelkader Bensalah, s’est entretenu, hier, au siège du Conseil à Alger avec le président du Conseil de la Fédération du parlement de la Fédération de Russie, M. Sergueï Mironov. Les entretiens se sont déroulés, en présence du bureau du Conseil de la nation, des présidents des groupes parlementaires et de la délégation accompagnant, M. Sergueï. Les deux parties ont évoqué au cours de cette rencontre les relations privilégiées existant entre l’Algérie et la Russie et les voies et moyens de les dynamiser au mieux des intérêts des deux pays.



«Je repars à Moscou très satisfait»

Le président du Conseil fédéral de la Fédération de Russie, M. Serguei Mironov, qui effectue une visite officielle en Algérie, à l’invitation du président du Conseil de la nation, M. Abdelkader Bensalah, a animé, avant son départ, hier, au salon d’honneur de l’aéroport international Houari Boumediène, un point de presse auquel ont pris part des médias nationaux et la presse russe. Tout d’abord, M. Mironov a tenu à souligner la qualité des entretiens qu’il a eus avec les responsables algériens et plus particulièrement avec le Président de la République à la Présidence de le République, où il  été  reçu en audience «pendant plus de trois heures».

Russian Politics, Playing With Fuhrer

Sergei Mironov, speaker of the Russian upper house, was talking recently about the "real threat of a fascist putsch in Russia" -- "a new fuhrer with fascist-type, nationalist ideology" emerging in the 2008 presidential campaign.

But while it would seem that so grave a danger calls for urgent and resolute action, Mironov sounded vague and nerveless about what should be done. Perhaps, he mused, the looming threat would simply impel the Russian people to ask President Vladimir Putin "to stay, not to leave" in 2008, when his constitutional term expires.



Russian Federation Council Chairman Arrives in Cairo

Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Sergej Michajlovi Mironov arrived in Cairo Monday on a several days visit to Egypt.

He held meetings last night with Speaker of the People's Assembly Fathi Sorour and other senior officials to discuss parliamentary cooperation and exchange of expertise between Egypt and Russia.

La coopération s’intensifie

Le président du Conseil fédéral russe, l’équivalent de notre Conseil de la nation, M. Sergueï Mironov, effectuera une visite officielle à partir de demain en Algérie de trois jours. Cette visite d’une éminente personnalité politique venant d’un pays avec lequel l’Algérie a toujours entretenu des relations extrêmement fortes, intervient à un moment où la scène internationale connaît une intense activité sur le plan diplomatique.

Federation Council Chairman Sergei Mironov said in Moscow on 28 February that former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, who said he might run for president in 2008 (see "RFE/RL Newsline," 25 February 2005), has no chance as a "pro-American" candidate, TV-Tsentr reported. A politician who has received an "endorsement from Washington does not have the slightest chance of being president in today's Russia," Mironov said.
