February, 8. Political parties Russia of Justice and United Russia held political consult session in the state Duma. As a result Sergei Mironov and Boris Gryzlov have signed a political agreement and announced it to the press. Boris Gryzlov said that even though the two political parties were and remain in opposition, they will through civilized debates find some common grounds for solving issues vital for the country’s economy and well-being. He also said that United Russia will support Sergei Mironov to remain on his post of Chairman of the Federation Council. In turn, Sergei Mironov added that despite the fact that Russia of Justice is opposed to State Duma majority party United Russia, the former has a functional cooperation with government chairman Vladimir Putin, and some of suggestions and ideas Russia of Justice brings in are actually implemented in government laws and regulations.

February, 8. Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov has met famous Russian bloggers and representatives of IT society. The meeting was rather informal; the topics discussed included network ethics in Internet, IT development in Russia and some other issues.
