Sergei Mironov: It is Tbilisi that Pushes Abkhazia and South Ossetia out of Georgia

August 26. The Chairman of the Council of Federation considers the will of Abkhazia and South Ossetia to get independence as the result of the Tbilisi policy.

"The will of Abkhazia and South Ossetia to secede from Georgia de jure is not a whim of local ambitious upper class, I is the result of aggressive cannibal policy of Tbilisi, the policy that has been adequately esteemed by several European and American diplomats", Sergei Mironov told Interfax on Monday.

"It is not Moscow who takes Abkhazia and South Ossetia from Georgia, it is Tbilisi itself pushes these republics out of the boundaries of its state”, he stressed.

In his opinion, peoples of Abkhazia and South Ossetia can’t imagine themselves to be subjects of Tbilisi that first gave them the widest autonomy within Georgia and then explains the practical meaning of such an “autonomy” using the GRAD systems”.
