Sergei Mironov: "Russia will insist on prosecution against Mikhail Saakashvili for the crime committed"
August 11. The Chairman of the Council of Federation Sergei Mironov spoke for prosecution against the Georgian government.
"The Georgian government headed by Mikhail Saakashvili is guilty for grievous crime, and Russia will insist on prosecution against these people", - he said.
"Georgian leaders and personally President Mikhail Saakashvili have launched and keep on military aggression in South Ossetia that caused numerous civilian sacrifices, - Sergei Mironov said. – Russian peacemakers died.
A crime against humanity was committed, fire on civilians was open, harmless people including women and children were killed. I’m persuaded that those who can lift hand against defenseless women and children, will be punished in appropriate measures.
They have committed grievous military crime. The crime against peace-making forces. No one in the world fires at peace-makers but Georgian militarists did it.
Such crimes could never be absolved of. Criminals will be punished by all means. All of them, and Saakashvili personally, must be impleaded. Russia will insist on it”.
