Meeting with Jose Mujica

June, 16. Chairman of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov has met President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay Jose Mujica.

The parties have discussed a number of issues on bilateral cooperation between Russia and Uruguay.

According to Sergei Mironov, Russia and Uruguay are ready to cooperate in high biotechnologies sphere. “We’re talking about creating remedies for rare diseases. Russia has very interesting groundwork on the issue, so I see this project as a very prospective”, - Sergei Mironov stressed.

After the meeting Sergei Mironov has talked to the press, summing up the results of his official visit to Uruguay.
